All hospice care and services provided by facility staff shall be under the direction of the Medicare certified hospice agency. Each facility shall establish and maintain policies, procedures, and practices that follow accepted standards of professional practice to govern care, and related medical or other services necessary to meet the residents’ needs. Each facility shall establish and maintain policies and procedures for the management of respite care residents if the facility offers those services.
