Each facility providing transfusion services shall provide facilities and equipment for the procurement, storage, and administration of blood products. The transfusion service shall be under the supervision of the medical staff. The medical staff or quality improvement committee shall review all transfusions and transfusion reactions and make recommendations concerning policies and procedures governing such practices.
