The facility's water supply must be obtained from a public water system or, in its absence, from a supply approved by the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Each private water supply must have a water sample bacteriologically tested at least monthly. The volume of water must be sufficient for the needs of the facility, including firefighting requirements. The hot water system must be capable of supplying the work and resident areas with water at the required temperatures. The maximum temperature of hot water for resident use must be one hundred twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit or fifty-two degrees centigrade. The minimum temperature of hot water for resident use must be at least one hundred degrees Fahrenheit or thirty-eight degrees centigrade. A facility shall monitor water temperatures monthly, and maintain documentation in accordance with facility policy.
