The six levels of trauma hospital designation are:

1. (1) Level I -- tertiary trauma hospital;
2. (2) Level II -- regional trauma hospital;
3. (3) Level III -- area trauma hospital;
4. (4) Level IV -- community trauma hospital;
5. (5) Level V -- trauma receiving hospital; and
6. (6) Level VI -- non-trauma hospital.
