O bstetric kit. Each ground ambulance must be equipped with the following obstetric equipment :
- (1) Towels or drapes;
- (2) Bulb suction;
- (3) Sterile pads or dressings;
- (4) Plastic bags or basin;
- (5) Cord clamps, umbilical tape, or ties;
- (6) Sterile shears, scissors, or scalpel;
- (7) Sterile gloves;
- (8) Thermal blanket and head cover or other external infant warming device; and
(9) An Apgar chart.
An ambulance service may utilize a commercially packed obstetric kit to meet this requirement.
