The unit open to elk hunting under this chapter is Unit 556-CUA. In Unit 556-CUA, no "any elk" licenses may be issued and are valid within the boundaries of Custer State Park for 23 consecutive days beginning the third Saturday in November. In Unit 556-CUZ, no elk licenses may be issued. However, an applicant shall accrue a preference point as provided in § 41:06:01:09.
