Except as provided in § 41:06:03:09, a nonlicensee transporting another person's legally taken game shall obtain a game transportation permit which is available without fee from any authorized department representative. This section does not apply to any person transporting another person's legally taken migratory game birds, as defined in 50 CFR § 20.11(a), tagged in accordance with 50 CFR § 20.36.
