The required courses and experiences of a K-12 special education program shall meet the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) standards, 2012 edition.
The required courses and experiences of a deaf/hearing impaired program shall meet the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Deaf and Hard of Hearing program standards, 2018 edition.
The required courses and experiences of a blind/visually impaired program shall meet the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Blind and Visual Impairments program standards, 2018 edition.
The programs shall require candidates to demonstrate the content, pedagogical, and professional knowledge and skills identified in the CEC standards and to demonstrate competency on the multiple assessment measures of chapters 24:53:04, 24:53:05, and 24:53:06.
