Drivers education permit eligibility requirements.

A drivers education instructor shall meet the following eligibility requirements in addition to those in § 24:28:09:22:
- (1) Be at least 21 years of age;
- (2) Possess a valid Class-1 South Dakota driver license or an equivalent driver license from another state;
- (3) Have a high school diploma or its equivalent;
- (4) Have no traffic-related driver license court suspensions or revocations within the preceding 36 months;
- (5) Have no convictions for traffic violations that carry a mandatory suspension or revocation of the driver license within the preceding 36 months;
- (6) Have no convictions for traffic violations causing a fatal traffic collision; and
- (7) Have no convictions for driving with a revoked or suspended license or driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the past five years.
