The secretary may issue an educator permit with provisional status to an applicant who meets all requirements for an educator permit set forth in § 24:28:09:03 except completion of South Dakota Indian studies.

An educator permit with provisional status expires on the June thirtieth immediately following the date the permit was issued, and may not be renewed.
