Procedures relating to the establishment and maintenance of standards to ensure that personnel necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter are appropriately and adequately prepared and trained are contained in chapter 24:05:16.

1. (1) Audiologists;
2. (2) Nurses;
3. (3) Registered dietitians;
4. (4) Occupational therapists;
5. (5) Physical therapists;
6. (6) Pediatricians and other physicians for diagnostic or evaluation purposes;
7. (7) Psychologists;
8. (8) Social workers;
9. (9) Special educators, including teachers of children with hearing impairments, including deafness, and teachers of children with visual impairments, including blindness;
10. (10) Speech and language pathologists;
11. (11) Family therapists;
12. (12) Orientation and mobility specialists; and

13. (13) Vision specialists, including ophthalmologists and optometrists.

    The personnel identified in this section do not comprise exhaustive lists of the types of qualified personnel that may provide early intervention services. Nothing in this section prohibits the identification in the IFSP of another type of personnel that may provide early intervention services in accordance with Part C, if such personnel meet the state standards.

Early intervention services must be provided by qualified personnel, including the following:
