A licensee shall complete forty hours of qualified continuing education in each continuing education cycle. At least four of the continuing education hours must be on counseling ethics. Continuing education required for renewal of a license or certificate is prorated in six month increments for a licensee granted an initial license or certificate during a continuing education cycle. Upon application for renewal, a licensee shall verify under penalty of perjury that all continuing education information provided on the renewal application is true and correct. The licensee shall provide sufficient documentation to permit verification of the qualified continuing education if audited by the board.
