An applicant for CAC is exempt from the requirements in § 20:80:05:09 if the applicant holds certification as a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Level II (CCDCII) before April 1, 2014.

An applicant for CAC who holds certification as a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Level I (CCDCI) before April 1, 2014, will maintain their CCDC I status until completion of the academic and work experience requirements in § 20:80:05:09.
