Recognition, certification, and licensure process.

The process for obtaining recognition, certification, or licensure is:
- (1) The board shall grant ACT or PST recognition status upon completion of the application and payment of the required application fee. Recognition status is valid for one year from the date of issuance and subject to renewal. Recognition status may not be renewed more than four times;
- (2) The board shall grant CAC or CPS certification upon completion of the application, payment of the applicable fee, and successful passage of a required written examination. Certification is renewed pursuant to SDCL 36-34-13.3; and
- (3) The board shall grant LAC licensure upon completion of the application, payment of the applicable fee, and successful passage of a required written examination. Licensure is renewed pursuant to SDCL 36-34-13.3.
