An applicant for an underground irrigation installer's license must show evidence of two years of experience as an underground irrigation apprentice. An applicant for an underground irrigation contractor's license must have one year of experience as an underground irrigation installer or a combination of three years of experience as an underground irrigation apprentice or installer. An applicant must provide proof of experience by means of affidavits. The commission may investigate an applicant's experience. An applicant must show that the applicant's work complies with applicable codes. If the commission rejects the application, the matter shall be treated as a contested case.
