To obtain a plumber's apprentice license, an applicant shall complete an application from the commission showing the plumbing contractor under whom the applicant will be working. An apprentice plumber who is employed by a licensed plumbing contractor, has passed an examination approved by the commission, and has completed three thousand eight hundred hours of experience learning about and assisting in the installation, alteration, and repair of plumbing under a plumbing contractor may work without immediate and personal supervision on single family dwellings.
