Terms used in this chapter mean:

1. (1) “Chart order,” a lawful order entered on the chart or medical record of a patient or resident of a licensed healthcare facility by a practitioner, or a designated agent, for a drug or device;
2. (2) "Hospice program," a coordinated program of inpatient services providing palliative rather than curative care for a patient;
3. (3) "Part-time pharmacy," the provision of pharmaceutical services by a pharmacist under a pharmacy license issued by the board, on less than a full-time operation basis, in hospitals, nursing facilities, and related facilities in which pharmaceutical services are limited to inpatients; and

4. (4) "Pharmaceutical services":

   1. (a) The operation, management, or control of a pharmacy;
   2. (b) Preparing, compounding, processing, packaging, labeling, or dispensing one or more doses of medication either upon a prescription or chart order of an authorized practitioner for subsequent administration to, or use by, a patient; and
   3. (c) Any other act, service, operation, or transaction incidental to subsections (4)(a) and (b) requiring, involving, or employing the science or art of any branch of the pharmaceutical profession.
