Qualifications of faculty in practical nurse programs.

Nursing faculty members who teach in a program leading to licensure as a practical nurse must have the following qualifications:
- (1) An active, unencumbered license or a privilege to practice as a registered nurse in South Dakota;
- (2) A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing; and
- (3) For newly appointed faculty, a minimum of one year of clinical experience in the area or areas of teaching responsibility.
