The fees for licenses, examinations, permits, license renewals, and inspections are as follows:

1. (1) Examination and initial license fee, one hundred twenty dollars;
2. (2) Examination retake fee, ninety dollars;
3. (3) Cosmetologist, nail technician, or esthetician license renewal fee, forty-five dollars;
4. (4) Temporary cosmetologist, nail technician, or esthetician license fee, six dollars;
5. (5) Instructor initial license fee and renewal fee, forty-five dollars;
6. (6) Reciprocity, initial license, and waiver of examination fee, one hundred twenty dollars;
7. (7) Fee for the certification of a license issued pursuant to SDCL chapter 36-15, for a licensee to obtain licensure in another state, or for the furnishing of other papers to another state or school, thirty dollars;
8. (8) Apprentice license fee, twenty-five dollars;
9. (9) Apprentice salon initial license fee and renewal fee, three hundred dollars;
10. (10) School initial license fee and renewal fee, three hundred fifty dollars;
11. (11) Student license fee, fifteen dollars;
12. (12) Salon or booth initial license fee, seventy-five dollars;
13. (13) Salon or booth license renewal fee, fifty-five dollars;
14. (14) Reinspection fee for failed salon, seventy-five dollars for each reinspection;
15. (15) License duplicate or replacement fee, fifteen dollars;
16. (16) Lapsed license fee, thirty dollars for each lapsed year; and

17. (17) Inspection fee for a prospective salon or booth at the request of the prospective applicant, seventy-five dollars for each inspection.

    Fees and penalties collected pursuant to this article are nonrefundable.
