The commission may provide that any of the duties of the secretary-treasurer be performed by an executive director hired by the commission. The secretary-treasurer shall be relieved of any duties specifically required of such an executive director by the commission. The executive director shall maintain office hours at the office of the commission and perform any other services required by the commission.
