A licensee may not discontinue a prize awarded in excess of the amount on the glass of the slot machine unless the licensee gives notice to the public or unless the prize is awarded. The notice must be given for at least 60 days prior to the discontinuance, must state the date of the discontinuance, and must be posted at an area visible to the public. Intent to discontinue a prize must be forwarded to the executive secretary and approval obtained from the executive secretary before giving notice.
