A temporary permit issued under this chapter is limited to the performance of the appraisal work required by the contract submitted with the application. Each temporary permit expires on the completion of the appraisal work required by the contract for appraisal service or six months from the date of issuance, whichever occurs first, unless an extension is granted by the secretary.
