If a winning twin trifecta ticket on the second twin trifecta race is issued when the seed pool is in existence, the jackpot pool shall be awarded to the winner; and the seed becomes the jackpot pool for the next performance.
- (1) As a single price pool to those whose combination finished in correct sequence as the first three betting interests;
- (2) If there are no wagers as described in subdivision (1) of this section, as a single price pool to those whose combination included, in correct sequence, the first two betting interests;
- (3) If there are no wagers as described in subdivision (2) of this section, as a single price pool to those whose combination correctly selected the first-place betting interest only;
- (4) If there are no wagers as described in subdivision (3) of this section, as a single price pool to holders of valid exchange tickets; and
- (5) If there are no holders of valid exchange tickets, as a single price pool to holders of outstanding first-half winning tickets.
If the twin trifecta carryover is designated for distribution on a specified date and performance, winning tickets for the second half of the twin trifecta after completion of the first half of the twin trifecta are determined as follows:
