In a race not run on a straightaway, a horse, when clear, may be taken to any part of the course, but no horse may cross or weave in front of other horses in any manner that impedes, interferes with, or intimidates another horse. In a race run on a straightaway, no horse may leave the lane in which he starts in any manner which interferes with, intimidates, or impedes another horse.
