If a horse leaves the course while moving from paddock to post, the horse shall return to the course at the nearest practical point to that at which the horse left the course. If the official veterinarian believes the horse to be injured or unfit to compete in the race or if the horse leaves the sight of the stewards the horse may not be allowed to run in the race.
