All jockeys shall pass a physical examination at least once a year by a licensed medical doctor or licensed chiropractor. The stewards may require that any jockey be reexamined. If a jockey has passed such an examination prior to the jockey's appearance at a track in this state, the jockey shall present a physical fitness card signed by the examining doctor or chiropractor that shows the date upon which the examination was made.
