If the board determines that denial of credit for time served on supervision should be ordered, the board shall provide notice to the inmate and any counsel involved of this decision along with the board's order concerning revocation of supervision. An inmate may request the reinstatement of credit for this time when subsequently applying for parole. The board may consider the inmate's institutional record since return to the institution and may give or deny reinstatement of credit at the board's discretion.
