Official cervid tests for CWD are:
- (1) Histopathology;
- (2) Immunohistochemistry;
- (3) Western blot;
- (4) Negative stain electron microscopy;
- (5) Bioassy; and
- (6) Any other tests performed by an official laboratory to confirm a diagnosis of CWD.
