12 : 56 : 05 : 04.18 . Additional standards for certification in aerial right of way. In addition to meeting the general standards in § 12:56:05:04 , applicators seeking certification in aerial right-of-way pest control shall be tested on:

1. (1) Their understanding and knowledge of foliage damage;
2. (2) Their ability to recognize target pests;

3. (3) The nature of herbicides and problems caused by applying pesticides to a variety of environments and terrains including:

   1. (a) Problems caused by runoff and drift;
   2. (b) The need for containment of pesticides within the right-of-way area; and
   3. (c) The impact of application activities on adjacent areas and communities.
