In addition to meeting general standards in § 12:56:05:04 or 12:56:05:04.17, applicators seeking certification in public health pest control must demonstrate practical knowledge of pests that are vectors of human viral disease. The demonstration of knowledge must include recognizing the pests and signs of their presence, identifying their habitats, and understanding their life cycles, biology, and behavior as relevant to pest identification and control.
