Additional standards for certification in industrial, institutional, structural, and health-related pest control. In addition to meeting the general standards set forth in § 12:56:05:04, and the public health pest standards set forth in § 12:56:05:04.09, to be certified in industrial, institutional, structural, and health-related pest control, applicators must demonstrate a practical knowledge of industrial, institutional, and structural pests that includes rodents and birds in structures, and health-related pests. The demonstration of knowledge must include recognizing those pests and signs of their presence, identifying their habitats, and understanding their life cycles, biology, and behavior as it may be relevant to pest identification and control.
(4) Minimize the environmental impact of outdoor applications.
Applicators must also demonstrate a practical knowledge of pests that are vectors of disease.
