In addition to meeting the general standards set forth in § 12:56:05:04, applicators seeking certification in agricultural livestock pest control must demonstrate practical knowledge of livestock and their associated pests. The required knowledge includes specific pesticide toxicity and residue potential, and the hazards associated with such factors as formulation, application techniques, age of the animals, stress, and the extent of treatment.
