After an application is approved by the board, the rodeo stock transportation permit is effective upon:

1. (1) An ownership inspection of the rodeo stock;
2. (2) Documentation by the inspector of the additional means of permanent, individual identification of the rodeo stock;
3. (3) Endorsement of the permit by the inspector;
4. (4) Payment of the fee for the permit;
5. (5) Payment of the ownership inspection fee; and

6. (6) Payment of the mileage fee.

   A copy of the inspection certificate must be attached to the permit, and a copy of the permit must accompany the rodeo stock during transportation. A rodeo stock transportation permit expires on December 31 of the year in which it is issued.
