Terms used in this chapter mean:

1. (1) "Active agricultural producer," a person who is:

   1. (a) Producing or causes to be produced an agricultural commodity in a quantity beyond the person's family use and is able to transfer title or sell the commodity to another; or
   2. (b) Managing the land the person owns for long-term foresty uses; and
2. (2) "Outstanding farming or ranching practice," a practice that demonstrates outstanding land stewardship.
