Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the stipulated completion dates required in Section 59-52-50 may be extended by one year upon approval from the State Board of Education. Districts requesting such a waiver must outline how the extension will improve the planning and implementation of Sections 59-52-10 through 59-52-150.
