1. (A) The following nongame fishing devices may be used for the taking of nongame fish in the freshwaters of this State in which such devices are authorized:

   1. (1) trotlines
   2. (2) set hooks
   3. (3) jug fishing devices
   4. (4) traps
   5. (5) eel pots
   6. (6) gill nets
   7. (7) hoop nets
   8. (8) skimbow nets
   9. (9) bows and arrows
   10. (10) gigs
   11. (11) spears
   12. (12) tires
   13. (13) minnow seines
   14. (14) cast nets
   15. (15) seines
   16. (16) pump nets.

2. (B) The possession or use on the freshwaters of this State of any device or gear designed or used to catch nongame fish not authorized by this article is unlawful.

   Nothing in this article shall be construed to prohibit the taking of nongame fish with lawful game fishing devices designed to take game fish.
