Exception to civil penalties for false alarms
Effective May 16, 20222022 Act No. 196 (H.4889), SECTION 1, eff May 16, 2022.
An alarm business or contractor as defined in this chapter, or an alarm business call center, must not be fined or assessed a penalty by a local government for false alarms which are not attributed to improper installation, defective equipment, or operational error by the alarm business contractor.
