- (a) The department of human services shall, in consultation with the governor’s advisory council for the blind and Saving Sight Rhode Island, establish a blindness-prevention program for children of the state of Rhode Island to promote the screening, testing, diagnosis, and treatment of blindness diseases of the eye and other sight disorders.
- (b) The department of human services shall promulgate rules and regulations in order to effectuate the purposes of this section.
