(a) Prospective.— This subchapter applies to arbitration of a family law dispute under an arbitration agreement made on or after the effective date of this section.
(b) Retroactive.— If an arbitration agreement was made before the effective date of this section, the parties may agree in a record that this subchapter applies to the arbitration.
