(c) The starting point markers and distance poles must be marked as follows:

1. (1) 3/4 pole—Red and white horizontal stripes
2. (2) 1/2 pole—Red and white horizontal stripes
3. (3) 1/4 pole—Red and white horizontal stripes
4. (4) 1/8 poles—Green and white horizontal stripes
5. (5) 1/16 poles—Black and white horizontal stripes
