1. (a) The center staff persons shall include a program assistant/aide responsible for duties which include:

   1. (1) Provision of personal care and assistance to clients.
   2. (2) Working with other staff members as required in implementing and carrying out services and activities and meeting the needs of individual clients.
   3. (3) Assisting with transportation or escorting clients to, from and within the center, if appropriate.

2. (b) The program assistant/aide shall have at least one of the following qualifications:

   1. (1) A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
   2. (2) One or more years of related experience in working with individuals in a health care or social service setting.
   3. (3) Satisfactory completion of requirements of the Department of Education necessary to be a nursing assistant.
   4. (4) In lieu of paragraph (1), (2) or (3), appropriate training conducted by the center in addition to the training required in § 11.33 (relating to program staff orientation and training).
