- (a) If a staff person, volunteer or client has a communicable disease or a medical problem which might interfere with the health, safety or well-being of others in the center, written authorization from a licensed physician or CRNP, as set forth in § § 11.102 and 11.132 (relating to client physical examination and medical report; and staff physical examination) is required in order for the person to be present at the center.
- (b) To the extent that confidentiality laws permit, written authorization from a licensed physician or CRNP shall include a statement that the person with a communicable disease does not pose a serious threat to the health, safety or well-being of others in the center. Specific instructions and precautions shall be provided for the protection of other persons at the center.
- (c) The physician’s or CRNP’s written instructions and precautions shall be followed.
