INTRODUCTION

1. (a) This chapter applies to:

   1. (1) An agency operated by a person, organization, corporation or society, public or private, for profit or not-for-profit, which approves or supervises foster families or provides foster family care.
   2. (2) An individual providing foster family care to children placed by an approved foster family care agency.
2. (b) This chapter does not apply to agencies and homes licensed or approved by the Department’s Offices of Mental Health and Mental Retardation.
