HBP payment limitations are as follows:

1. (1) Payment for the trimester component includes all prenatal visits during the trimester.
2. (2) Qualified providers may bill for either the high risk maternity care package or the basic maternity care package for each trimester.
3. (3) The fee for the applicable trimester maternity care packages includes payment to the practitioner for performing the delivery and postpartum care.
