GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Eligibility for MA is based on the following:

1. (1) An individual shall meet one of the following criterion:

   1. (i) Be pregnant.
   2. (ii) Be a qualified child.

2. (2) An individual shall also meet the appropriate eligibility conditions in this title. The specific eligibility conditions which shall be met are the following:

   1. (i) Chapter 148 (relating to MA residence provisions for categorically needy NMP-MA and MNO-MA).
   2. (ii) Chapter 149 (relating to citizenship and alienage).
   3. (iii) Chapter 155 (relating to enumeration).
   4. (iv) Signing forms—An applicant/recipient is required to complete and sign the application/reapplication forms designated by the Department.
   5. (v) Chapter 255 (relating to restitution).
   6. (vi) Chapter 257 (relating to reimbursement).
   7. (vii) Responsibility for reporting changes—An applicant/recipient is responsible for reporting accurately, within 1 week, a change in circumstances affecting eligibility.
   8. (viii) Third party liability—An applicant/recipient shall cooperate in identifying and providing information to assist the Department in pursuing a third party who may be liable to pay for medical care and services.
