1. (a) Applicants shall successfully pass the NPTE. In cases of failure at the first examination, the applicant shall have, after the expiration of 60 days and within 1 year from the date of the first failure, the privilege of a second examination, with the payment of an additional examination fee to FSBPT.

4. (d) An applicant may not take the NPTE more than three times in a consecutive 12-month period.
5. (e) An applicant may take the NPTE up to 90 days prior to graduation from a CAPTE accredited program.
