- (a) Upon implementation of the NLC, existing Pennsylvania licenses shall be converted to single-state licenses. Conversion of the licenses does not change licensure expiration dates.
- (b) Existing Pennsylvania licensees who desire to convert their licenses to multistate licenses shall file an application for a multistate license and pay the conversion fee in § 21.1203 (relating to fees).
- (c) Except for licensees who received their licenses under 63 Pa.C.S. § 3111 (relating to licensure by endorsement) and Subchapter K (relating to licensure by endorsement under 63 Pa.C.S. § 3111), applicants under subsection (b) are not required to submit documentation evidencing completion of an approved nursing education program to satisfy § 21.1204(a)(1)(i) (relating to requirements for initial multistate license).
- (d) Applicants under subsection (b) whose pre-licensure nursing education was not in English but who passed a Board-approved English language proficiency examination are not required to submit documentation evidencing passage of an English language proficiency examination to satisfy § 21.1204(a)(1)(ii).
- (e) Applicants under subsection (b) who completed their 3 hours of training in child abuse recognition and reporting as required under 23 Pa.C.S. § 6383(b)(3)(i) (relating to education and training) and Subchapter E (relating to child abuse reporting requirements) are not required to submit documentation evidencing completion to satisfy § 21.1204(a)(1)(iii).
- (f) Existing Pennsylvania licensees who participate in an alternative program or are subject to discipline may apply to convert their existing Pennsylvania licenses to multistate licenses when their participation in an alternative program ends and their licenses are reinstated to unrestricted status.
