The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

Emergency medical services personnel—Individuals who deliver emergency medical services and who are regulated by the Department of Health under the Emergency Medical Services Act (35 P.S. § § 6921—6938).
