1. (a) Requirements. The requirements for the official stamp are set forth in 57 Pa.C.S. § 317 (relating to official stamp).

2. (b) Appearance of official stamp. The official stamp of a notary public must be rectangular in shape and show clearly all of the following information in the following order:

   1. (1) The words ‘‘Commonwealth of Pennsylvania—Notary Seal.’’
   2. (2) The name of the notary public as it appears on the commission and the words ‘‘Notary Public.’’
   3. (3) The name of the county in which the notary public maintains an office.
   4. (4) The date the notary public’s current commission expires.

   5. (5) The seven-digit commission identification number assigned by the department.

      My commission expires May 19, 2026

3. (c) Abbreviations. A word or term on the official stamp may not be abbreviated, except for name suffixes as specified in § 167.14(c) (relating to name of notary public on application for appointment and commission).
4. (d) Transitional provision. A notary public who holds a commission on March 28, 2026, may continue to use the notary public’s official stamp until the expiration of that commission.
