The Commonwealth Continuity of Government Steering Committee shall do the following:

1. (1) Assess the level of continuity of government preparedness among Commonwealth agencies.
2. (2) Assess the ability of the executive, judicial and legislative branches to coordinate and continue the effective functioning of government during an emergency.
3. (3) Approve and promote the annual priorities of the Continuity of Government Office (Office) for ensuring the coordination and maintenance of Commonwealth operations during emergencies and disruptions.
4. (4) Provide guidelines, oversight and policy direction for improving continuity of government and operations by the Office.
